Businesses are being urged to get involved with an initiative to help children who face spending Christmas in emergency accommodation after fleeing domestic violence. The Buddy Bag Foundation is looking for teams to take part in the Challenge Box scheme, to help provide essentials and home comforts to children who often have to flee leaving everything behind. Coast-to-coast trek will raise thousands for Acorns in memory of Tiffany

A nurse and businesswoman is preparing to walk from coast to coast via Hadrian’s Wall to raise money for Acorns Hospice in memory of a little girl who died aged just three. Michele Ibbs is raising money to pay for five heart and oxygen monitors which will enable children to spend time away from the hospice, either at home or out on day trips. Dance teacher’s funds plea to help children with special educational needs

A Midlands dance teacher has launched an appeal for funds to provide a free online library of tuition videos for children with special educational needs. Charlotte Cooper hopes the videos will be an invaluable resource for parents of youngsters looking for specialist SEN-only activities. She has now launched a Crowdfunder appeal to raise £5,000 by the end of February to help pay for the production costs and hopes to have the videos online by the summer.
